This is an amazing and rare discourse by William Barr, the Attorney General of the United States on liberty, self government and limited government. Awesome! It is so rare to here this quality of discourse from modern judges and politicians. One quote to get your attention: “The big test of liberty will be if over the long haul, we the people can handle freedom. Can the people maintain the moral disciplines and the virtues necessary for the survival of free institutions?” The Framers of the constitution of the United States said that religion is the indispensable foundation necessary to sustain liberty over the long haul. So the answer is no, the people can´t handle freedom apart from God´s grace and the obedience to His covenant! Dt. 32:15-20 But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou art covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation….20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.
